Ankara Agreement
There have been some recent developments in the Court of Appeal with regards to Turkish Nationals who have been refused under the Ankara Agreement. The case of Sonmez v SSHD [2009] EWCA Civ 582 (http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Civ/2009/582.html) considered the position for those who have been refused permission to work under the agreement because of their past immigration history.
If you have been refused as a result of your immigration history it may therefore be possible to consider making a new application. If you would like to discuss a previous refusal under the agreement or simply find out whether you are eligible under the Ankara Agreement then please feel free to attend one of our offices.
